Connecting Cultures Mobile Museum

All students at De Anza Academy of Technology and the Arts have the wonderful opportunity this week to visit the Mobile Museum in our school's cafeteria put on by Connecting Cultures, a non-profit organization. Presenters share artifacts from around the world and teach the students how cultures are similar and different.  Seventh grade students in Miss Lukins's class visited the museum yesterday and got to feel cotton (with the seeds still inside) and mink from the fur trade, look closely at a silkworm cocoon and learn the process of making silk, grind and taste spices, and more!  Read the article below from the Ventura County Star newspaper to learn more about it!
